Thank you for your interest in NAMAR. NAMAR is the second largest REALTOR® Association in the State of Georgia with over 4500 members. If you would like to join, please complete the REALTOR Application. You may fax the form to (770) 476-7400 or mail the forms to NAMAR at 2145 Duluth Highway, Duluth, GA 30097. An email version is also available.
Once you join NAMAR, you have 90 days to take Orientation/Code of Ethics. Classes fill up fast so you may want to go ahead and register by complete the 2008 Orientation/Code of Ethics Registration form.

Q.4. How Do I File an Ethics Complaint? |

To file an ethics complaint against a REALTOR®, please contact Tom O'Rourke, NAMAR Executive Vice President, at (770) 670-6414 or email tom@namar.org. In order to ensure that we have authority over the real estate agent, please provide their name and company affiliation so that we may check their membership status.
If the individual is in violation of real estate licensing law, you may also contact the Georgia Real Estate Commission. |

Q.6. Am I required to join NAMAR? |

If your broker is a member of NAMAR, you are required to join as well. Your company must be a member in order for you to join.
You have 30 days to join NAMAR after placing your license with a company that is a member of NAMAR. |

Q.8. How do I pay my dues online? |

Click Here to Pay Dues Online. Your NRDS is your Login/Username. Your last name (all lower case) is your password. Click Here to Change Login and Password.
The password must be 5 digits; therefore, if your last name is less than 4 digits, use the letter(s) of your first name after your last name. Example Jane Doe - Password: doeja
NOTE: Any member who has not paid their 2008 dues has been marked inactive. In order to pay your dues online, you must email deb@namar.org to activate your membership. |

Q.9. Where are my dues going? |

The Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of REALTORS® is a professional organization dedicated to Real Estate Professionals in the Northeast Atlanta area. Your dues allow you membership in a professional organization that supports a strict Code of Ethics promoting professionalism and ethical real estate practices. Membership provides a voice for you in local, state and national politics (RPAC), protecting the free enterprise system and working to get legislation that is beneficial to REALTORS® and homeowners. A research library is also available at the Duluth office. Dues also provide the facilities for Ethics and Arbitration hearings so that we can police our own industry. We are dedicated to the real estate industry and private property rights.
NAMAR is located in Duluth and has over 4900 members. It is governed by Executive Officers and the Board of Directors. Each year Officers and Directors are nominated and voted on at the September General Membership meeting. There are plenty of opportunities at NAMAR to become involved.
NAMAR Membership Includes:
- Membership to the National Association of REALTORS® and a subscription to REALTOR® Magazine. Visit http://www.realtor.org/ for more membership services.
- Once Code of Ethics requirements has been meet, you may use the REALTOR® logo. The term REALTOR® is a registered collective membership mark that identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and subscribes to is strict Code of Ethics. Only those agents who are members of NAR can use the term REALTOR®. REALTOR® is not a synonym for real estate agent.

Q.10. Am I required to take the Orientation/Code of Ethics Training? |
| |
You have 90 days after placing your license with a company to take the Orientation/Code of Ethics training. This is required by the National Association of REALTORS® . If you are transferring from another Board of REALTORS® , please send along with your application, a Letter of Good Standing or a Certificate showing that you have taken the Code of Ethics Course. NAMAR offers this class for $30. The class is from 9am to 3:15 pm every first Wednesday of the month (except January and July) at the Duluth location. Reservations are required.
The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) requires that you take this training every four years. After you have taken the course for the first time, you may take it online at NAR's website www.realtor.org. There is no charge for the online course. |
